Mr. Barajas

RM A217

Hello,

My name is Marcos Anthony Barajas Jr., and I have been at Manvel High School since 2015. Prior to teaching at Manvel High School, I worked in cardiology as a cardiovascular sonographer, and I also worked as an adjunct faculty member for Alvin Community College. I have experience working in various environments such as clinics, hospitals, and home health. I have also interned at most of the major hospitals in the Houston area, as well as NASA's Johnson Space Center. Previous to my time in the medical field I served 8 years in the U.S. Marine Corps. Although I didn't obtain my medical training in the Marines, it did enable me to go to school and obtain my degree in Diagnostic Cardiovascular Sonography. Besides teaching at Manvel High School, I am also the school DJ, and I also announce at many of our sporting events and activities. I enjoy making, mixing, and playing music for the students, teachers, and parents. In my off time, I spend time playing guitar and creating beats. My wife is a counselor in the district, and my 3 boys have attended all of their school years in AISD. I am also proud to say my oldest graduated from Alvin High School in 2018. I am excited about this new school year, and I can't wait to help introduce students to the many career pathways of the medical field. So, here is to a great school year! Hoka Hey!
