Hi all! A new engine mod has been released for the Wentward DT40L. This time, it is the DC9 series of Inline 5 engines by Scania!
It comes with various power ratings from a low 230HP to a high 310HP, aswell as a special 394HP variant. It also comes with very realistic sounds, and support for ZF and Voith gearboxes in my Wentward Transmision Pack!
I based this engine off of my data, which I measured on a Scania K230UB, with a 230HP engine, and a ZF Ecomat 5HP-504/C gearbox. As always, I record RPMs for idle, and kickdown, aswell as sound recordings of the inside to try to get the sounds levelled properly, but that differs by body. The ones I referenced to were from 2007, on a CB60 EvoII body, so quite old
This engine comes with 5 power ratings, from 230HP to 349HP. The torque curve for the base 230HP model is shown, but others are basically the same, just higher
This engine is best used with the ZF Ecomat 5HP-502/C gearbox from my Wentward Transmission Pack for maximum realism. What I mean by that, is that when I was recording data for this engine, the shift RPMS, and kickdown RPMS were for this gearbox, which I managed to match perfectly in the game.
