You are back in medieval England. You have come to the Kings Dungeon to visit a prisoner. The guard informs you that only relatives of prisoners are allowed a visit. You explain that you are in fact a relative. As you point to the prisoner you wish to see you say, "This man's father is my father's son. And I am an only child."
What is your relation to the prisoner?
Answer: You are his father.
If you were running a race and you passed the person in 2nd place what place would you be in now?
You would be in 2nd. You thought first place right? Well you passed the guy in second place, not first.
What relation do you have to the prisoner?
You are the prisoner's father.
Break it down in parts.
The word "is" is the equivalent of an equal (=) sign in mathematics.
(A) "This man's father" = (B) "My father's Son."
So, A = B.
That means that B = "This man's father."
The question is, who is B?
If you are "an only child" then "Your father's son" is you!
So B = You.
Many ages ago you struck a deal with the devil. He gave you fame and fortune. Now he has come for his part of the bargain - your soul! You don't want to give it so being the sporting man that he is, he gives you another chance.
_"I can do anything, I know everything, I've been everywhere, there is nothing I can't do. If you can give me an impossible task, I will set you free."_
What task can you give him?
The sum of two American coins is 15 cents. One of the two coins is not a nickel.
What are the two coins?
One of them isn't a nickel, the other one is.
If a woman archaeologist told you she found an old coin dated 321 B.C. would you believe her?
Of course not! But not because she is a woman, but because a coin can't be dated 331 before Christ! Whoever made the coin didn't know it was 331 years before Christ!
You’re in a foot race, and you pass the #2 runner. What position does that put you in?
Jedi Mind Tricks
Pick a Number (#1)
I Do this when you are uninterrupted. It will only take a minute. Please focus. Just follow these instructions, and answer the questions, out loud, one at a time, and as quickly as you can! Again, as quickly as you can but don't scroll down until you're done.
Ready? Here we go...
Quick! Pick a number between 12 and 5.
The number you picked was 7, right?
Pick a Number (#2)
*Choose a number between 1 and 10
Multiply it by 9
Add the two digits together
Using the alphabet select the letter that corresponds to the answer:
Think of a country that begins with the letter
Think of an animal beginning with the second letter of the countries name
Think of the colour of the animal
Think of an animal beginning with the last letter of the countries name
Think of the colour of that animal
*Unfortunately you are unlikely to find grey elephants or brown/orange kangaroos in Denmark unless you go to a zoo!*
Watch the multiples of 9
Select any 2 digit number, add together the two digits then subtract from original number. Then multiple the first digit by 9 and you get the same result!
Note that all symbols of multiple of 9 are the same each time it "reads your mind".

There are 53 bicycles and a dead man.
What's going on?
The "bicycles" are playing cards. The dead man was playing poker with other men. He cheated with an extra card and was shot dead.
It's 1930. You are a New York detective. You are to solve a crime in which a man is hanging from a 10-foot ceiling by a rope. He is dead. There is nothing in the room that would enable him to reach the rope and hang himself. Did he commit suicide or did someone kill him? The only clue is a puddle of water below the hanging man.
The man committed suicide. The puddle of water was a block of ice which he used to reach the rope.
Romeo & Juliet
Juliet is dead on the floor. There is broken glass and a desk in the room. Romeo is not in the room.
Juliet is a fish that was in a fish bowl on the desk. Romeo, who is a cat, knocked the fish bowl off of desk. The broken glass is the fish bowl.
