Atlantic Region Intent,

After consultation with the National Chair and other Regional Chairs, Atlantic Region's intent is to organize a ride within the borders of NS. The decision to keep the ride in NS was difficult however, necessary with the current restrictions on provincial travel. If we were to travel to other provinces riders would be forced to self isolate union entering the other provinces and again on return to NS. This was not feasible.

On 14 Aug we will have a meet and greet and registration BBQ held at GW Sampson Greenwood.

The ride will span of over three days, starting on Aug 15 - 18.

Day 1- We will ride from Greenwood with south east heading toward Digby and Yarmouth, then to Shelbourne, Liverpool, Lunenburg, Dartmouth, Enfield, Truro, New Glasgow, The Cove Motel in Frankville (book your room, tell them your with the ride)

Day 2 - Ride Cabot Trail and return to The Cove Motel.

Day 3 - return to Greenwood.

If any riders would like to register for the Atlantic Region ride or any other portion please attend this site:

For all Central Riders (Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick),

The Ontario Premier has again extended the state of emergency for at least another 2 weeks so there will be no planned events. However, if there are individuals whom would like to organize a ride or fundraiser locally in their home towns, the Central team will gladly facilitate it.

Sincerely,

Valerie

To all Prairie Region Riders (Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba),

In light of the current situation in our Region, certainly Alberta, concerning Covid-19; and taking into consideration the actions of other major rides within the province - we have decided that the health and safety of fellow riders within the province of Alberta must come first. Therefore, it is with a heavy heart that we announce that the Prairie portion of the ride will be cancelled for 2020.

We are working hard to come up with some online events to help raise money for our charity, the Military Police Fund for Blind Children. Once we have solidified the information on these events we will post it here on the website.

We thank you for your interest and look forward to seeing you in 2021.

Sincerely,

Shawn Dunnett

----------------------

From The National Team,

Due to the diverse scenarios faced by our provincial governments, it is with heavy hearts that the Co-Chairs of the Military Police National Motorcycle Relay decided to cancel the physical component of the National ride. To be clear, we will not be supporting a complete coast to coast ride from Victoria to St John's this coming summer.

This cancellation will allow us to better focus resources into supporting the various Regions, as they adjust their individual mission parameters to best suit their local situations. This will enable the Regions to adapt to the rapidly changing local and provincial health orders as well as to conduct appropriate operations in support of the MPNMR overall, as well as the MPFBC for years to come.

For those interested in participating in whichever activities are able to be conducted this summer, or to be added to updated regional contact lists for future years, you are encouraged to complete the newly updated registration form on the MPNMR website at nationalmotorcyclerelay.ca or follow this link here to the registration form.

We thank your for your patience during this challenging time.
