Maria Souliotis is an Instructor of Library Services at Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, OK. She serves as the Library Liaison to the university's College of Business & Technology and the Department of Music. Maria holds an MLS from Texas Woman's University, an MA in Musicology from the University of Denver, and a BM in Music Education (Vocal & Piano emphases) from Midwestern State University. This past year, Maria was elected to serve as the Mountain-Plains Chapter Liaison to the Music Library Students & Emerging Professions (MLStEP) division of MLA. Her research interests include narratives in music, film, and the written word, as well as topics related to Ethnomusicology. She seeks an interdisciplinary approach to librarianship and enjoys collaborating with professionals from a variety of academic backgrounds.
