Janice Gill Bunker is the daughter of a math professor from India and an elementary school teacher from Northern Mexico/Texas. She is a music cataloger at Brigham Young University and a music student at their rival school to the north, the University of Utah. She is an organist, flutist, and pianist. She is interested in women and music, organ music, flute music and women composers. She currently serves as a church organist, the Secretary-Treasurer of the Mountain Plains Chapter, and through absent-minded good-natured volunteerism, on four MLA committees. When not practicing or writing papers for the U, she likes to read fluff, knit with fluff, and use fluff as the middle of her quilts. She is married to a 3rd-grade teacher and they have six children, two grandchildren, a grand-dog and three grand-cats.
