MaxCommander application for macOS:

1) does not collect any personal user data

2) does not send any personal information over the network

More Details

MaxCommander is a file management tool and in order to function it requires access to the user's files and folders, which may contain personal and/or sensitive content. However, the application only uses this access to perform operations requested by the user (e.g. copying a file from one location to another). The application does not process the content of files for its own needs (other than those requested by the user, as indicated above), does not collect it, and does not send it over the network to its provider.

To access remote systems, MaxCommander may ask the user to provide credentials. These credentials are used only for the purpose for which they were provided and stored in macOS Keychain. No credentials are sent over the network back to the application provider.

For troubleshooting purposes, MaxCommander creates a log file that can store information about requested operations, filenames, folder names, and usernames (but not passwords and private keys). The log is created on the local disk of the computer where the application is running and is never automatically sent to the application provider. The support team may ask the user to provide a log file, but it is up to the user whether to do so or not. The user can also review the log file at any time since it is stored in a text format.
