Barangay Tuboran derived its name from the word “TUBOD”. It was called Tuboran because there was so many spring found in this place.
The original inhabitants of this Barangay are the “Mansakas”, a native tribe who were already present in Barangay Tuboran way back.
The Mansaka’s first called this place “TUBOD” They got the idea of naming this Barangay from so many sources of water in any areas of this Barangay especially in Mountainous area. After many years have passed the people called it “TUBORAN” which means “TINUBDAN SA DAGHANG TUBIG”.
The native people cultivated the area and replace the big tress into Abaka, Banana, Coconut and other Farm products.
After a few years later, more people migrate in this area including farmers, soldiers, drivers, teachers, laborers, and businessman. And on September 26, 1968, Barangay Tuboran.
