Movie Box (“the App”) is operated by Pixels Studios (“we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains how information is collected, used, shared, retained, and protected when you use Movie Box.
Movie Box provides movie and television discovery information, trailers, favorites, and related entertainment content. The App does not require users to create an account.
Movie Box allows you to save movies and television programs as favorites. Your favorites and certain app preferences are stored locally on your device.
We do not receive or store this information on our own servers. You can delete locally stored information by clearing the App’s data or uninstalling the App.
When you browse or search for content, the App sends requests to The Movie Database (“TMDB”) to retrieve movie and television information. These requests may expose technical information such as your IP address, device connection information, and requested content to TMDB as part of normal internet communications.
Please review the TMDB Privacy Policy for information about its practices.
Movie Box displays advertisements using AppLovin MAX and advertising partners available through its mediation platform, including Meta Audience Network.
These advertising services may automatically collect or process information such as:
Advertising identifiers, including the Google Advertising ID
IP address and approximate location derived from it
Device make, model, operating system, and language
App installation, session, and performance information
Network connection information
Advertising preferences
Advertisement views, clicks, and other interactions
Diagnostic, fraud-prevention, and security information
This information may be used to provide advertisements, personalize advertising where permitted, measure advertising performance, perform analytics, prevent fraud, and maintain service security.
AppLovin states that it may share information with service providers, affiliates, advertisers, advertising networks, exchanges, measurement providers, and other advertising partners. For more information about AppLovin’s collection and use of your information, visit the AppLovin Privacy Policy. AppLovin specifically requires apps using its services to disclose this advertising data sharing. AppLovin Data Sharing Requirements
Meta’s handling of information is described in the Meta Privacy Policy.
Movie Box uses YouTube’s privacy-enhanced embed domain to display trailers. When you play a trailer, YouTube or Google may receive your IP address, device and browser information, playback activity, and information associated with your interaction with the embedded player.
YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode limits certain tracking before interaction, but it does not prevent all information processing. Please review the Google Privacy Policy and YouTube Terms of Service.
The Android version of Movie Box may use the following permissions:
Internet access: Required to retrieve movie information, images, trailers, and advertisements.
Network status: Used to determine whether an internet connection is available.
Advertising ID: Used by advertising providers for advertising, measurement, fraud prevention, and related purposes.
Movie Box does not request access to your precise location, contacts, camera, microphone, photos, SMS messages, or phone calls.
Information processed through Movie Box may be used to:
Provide movie and television information
Process searches and load images
Play trailers
Save favorites and preferences locally
Display and measure advertisements
Personalize advertisements where permitted
Monitor performance and diagnose technical problems
Detect fraud, abuse, or security incidents
Comply with legal obligations
We do not sell information that you directly submit to us.
Technical, device, advertising, and usage information may be processed or shared by the third-party services integrated into Movie Box, including:
AppLovin and its advertising partners
Meta Audience Network
The Movie Database
Google and YouTube
Infrastructure and service providers used by those companies
Third parties process information under their own privacy policies. They may act as independent data controllers and may process information in countries other than your own.
We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect users or legal rights, investigate fraud or security incidents, or as part of a merger, acquisition, or transfer of the App.
Depending on your location, the App or its advertising providers may ask for your consent before using information for personalized advertising.
You may limit personalized advertising by:
Changing the advertising privacy settings on your Android device
Resetting or deleting your device’s advertising identifier
Declining personalized advertising through a consent prompt, where available
Using the privacy controls provided within AppLovin advertisements
Submitting an access or deletion request through AppLovin’s privacy request page
Declining personalized advertising does not remove advertisements. You may continue to receive non-personalized or contextual advertisements.
Favorites and app preferences stored by Movie Box remain on your device until you remove them, clear the App’s data, or uninstall the App.
Movie Box does not currently provide user accounts or maintain an account database. Therefore, there is no Movie Box account to delete.
Third-party providers determine how long they retain information processed through their services. AppLovin states that information collected through its advertising services is generally retained for limited periods, typically up to two years, or until an applicable deletion request is completed, subject to legal exceptions. See the AppLovin Privacy Policy for current details.
You may contact us at [CONTACT EMAIL] regarding deletion or privacy questions. Requests concerning information controlled by a third-party provider may need to be submitted directly to that provider.
Movie Box uses HTTPS connections when communicating with supported content and service providers. We take reasonable measures to protect information handled by the App.
However, no electronic transmission, application, or storage method is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, particularly for information independently processed by third-party services.
Movie Box is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13 or the minimum age established by applicable local law.
We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. Movie Box should not be used by children where its advertising services are not permitted under applicable law. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, contact us at [CONTACT EMAIL].
Third-party providers used by Movie Box may process information in the United States or other countries outside your place of residence. Those countries may have different data-protection laws.
Where required, third-party providers are responsible for implementing appropriate safeguards for international data transfers.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
Request access to personal information
Request correction or deletion
Restrict or object to certain processing
Withdraw consent
Opt out of personalized advertising or certain data sharing
Receive a portable copy of eligible information
Submit a complaint to a data-protection authority
Because most data associated with Movie Box is stored locally or processed independently by third-party providers, we may direct your request to the relevant provider.
To submit a request, email [CONTACT EMAIL]. We may need to verify your request before responding.
Movie Box may display content, advertisements, or links operated by third parties. We do not control their websites, applications, privacy practices, or content. Review the applicable third party’s privacy policy before providing information or using its services.
We may update this Privacy Policy when Movie Box’s features, service providers, or legal obligations change. The revised policy will display a new “Last updated” date.
Material changes may also be communicated within the App where appropriate.
