Carnegie-Stout Public Library in Dubuque will show the movie One Battle After Another on Thursday, April 9, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. in the Aigler Auditorium on the Library's 3rd Floor. Admission is free, but seating is first come, first served.

Written and directed by Paul Thomas Anderson, One Battle After Another (2025) is a satirical action thriller about a washed-up revolutionary who tries to rescue his rebellious daughter from a corrupt military officer.

The ensemble cast stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Sean Penn, Benicio del Toro, Regina Hall, Teyana Taylor, and Chase Infiniti. The movie received thirteen Academy Award nominations, including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Adapted Screenplay, and four acting nominations.
