The overall goal of this contest for students is to design and conceptualize low thresholds for movement. Students closely collaborate in mixed and cross-disciplinary teams, consisting of both product designers and sports & health experts.

Each year mid-February, about 150 (international) students search for creative design solutions and innovations for challenges related to sports and well-being. They work for a specific client, in 2019 being the city of Bruges or Sport Vlaanderen. According to the principles of User Centered Design the student teams develop a persona to visualise the needs of a specific target group; secondly the teams propose solutions based upon market research and feedback with the client. For their best idea students build a paper prototype and use it for a role play/movement session/test on the location. Finally they turn the design idea into a concept poster, an inspiring video and a VR-concept visualisation through google sketchup and modelo.
The participating schools in 2019: Howest Industrieel Productontwerpen (BE); Howest Sport en bewegen (BE); Chalmers University of Technology (SE) and IPO Hogeschool Rotterdam (NL).
