SUMMER SWIM LESSONS - Registrations are Now Open!
Parent and Tot
Parent and Tot swim lessons are introductory swimming classes designed for young children, typically aged 6 months to 3 years, accompanied by a parent or caregiver in the water. These lessons focus on water safety, comfort, and basic skills like floating, kicking, and splashing through songs, games, and gentle instruction. The parent helps guide and support the child, building their confidence and creating a positive first experience in the water.
Preschool
Preschool swimming lessons are structured swim classes for young children, usually ages 3 to 5, that focus on water safety, basic swimming skills, and building confidence in the water—often without a parent in the pool. Children learn skills like blowing bubbles, floating, kicking, paddling, and entering/exiting the pool safely through fun, play-based instruction. Lessons are typically led by trained swim instructors and emphasize comfort, independence, and water awareness.
Swimmers
Swimmer level swim lessons are progressive, skill-based classes for children (usually 6 years and up) who are ready to learn or refine stroke techniques and water safety skills independently.
Swimmer 1–2: Water comfort, safe entries/exits, floating, gliding, basic front/back swim skills.
Swimmer 3–4: Stroke development (front crawl, back crawl), deeper water confidence, intro to diving and treading.
Swimmer 5–6: Stroke refinement (front crawl with breathing, breaststroke, elementary backstroke), endurance, diving, and advanced water safety skills.
Rookie, Ranger, Star Patrol
Rookie Patrol – Prepares swimmers for more advanced training. Focuses on building confidence in the water, improving stroke efficiency, and introducing basic rescue skills and safe boating awareness.
Ranger Patrol – Builds on Rookie skills with longer swims, more advanced strokes, and stronger rescue techniques, including victim recognition and basic first aid. Emphasizes endurance and teamwork.
Star Patrol – The most advanced in the patrol series. Develops strong fitness, lifesaving skills, and advanced first aid. Prepares swimmers for Bronze Star, Bronze Medallion, and competitive lifesaving programs.
