Distance - 9 Miles. Total Climb - 980m. Time - 6+ hours. One of the easier, but also one of the longest routes.
The best place to start the Llanberis Path is at the Royal Victoria Hotel in Llanberis. Just near the entrance to the hotel is a mini roundabout. Walk up the road directly opposite the hotel and stay on it for approximately 1 mile. This is probably the steepest part of the walk, and can be hard on the legs, especially on the way down later in the day. It certainly gets you warmed up.
You will pass Pen-y-Ceunant Isaf Cafe (nice for a brew if its still open by the time you come back down ;o ) on your left as you go. A little further and there are some farm buildings on the right of the road. Just after you pass these you will see a gate on the left of the road which takes you onto the proper path up the mountain.
After going through the gate the path is very easy to follow, a nice steady climb and as you get higher you will have some great views back down to Llanberis and Moel Elio on your right. Soon you will reach a bridge under the railway.
