Crib Goch

Scramble the Legendary Crib Goch

You have seen the photos, you have read about it and now is your chance to traverse the knife edge ridge of Crib Goch. Some say that its the finest ridge walk that the UK has to offer.

Starting at Pen y Pass, we will follow the start of the Pyg Track till we reach Bwlch y Moch (The Pass of Pigs.) Then we turn off to take on this classic grade 1 scramble, formed by glaciation, some 10000 years ago, this is a hike for the adrenaline seeker. Take this on under the safe guidance of experienced, qualified mountain leaders. Guide ratio of only 1 to 5 to ensure that we give you the maximum amount of guidance/ attention. Are you a mountain walker wanting to take the next step into scrambling, a good head for heights is essential. After completing Crib Goch, it off up Crib y Ddysgl which involves more hands on rock and onto Garnedd Ugain (2nd highest mountain in Wales.) Then onto summit Snowdon.

The cost is £45pp. We will meet in Llanberis (exact meeting point to be emailed nearer the time) and then catch the Snowdon Sherpa up to the start point at Pen y Pass. Depending on the groups ability we can continue after Snowdon to complete the whole Snowdon Horseshoe which will take on another summit, Y Llewedd or back down the Llanberis Path into town for a well earned brew.

You will need a good pair of hiking boots or shoes (no trainers), food and drink, warm clothing, waterproof over trousers and jacket, hat and gloves (can still be freezing on the summit, even in summer), and the most important bit, a camera.

More details will be sent closer to the time.
