If you want compact, noise-cancelling earbuds with an adjustable way to hear what is around you for basketball, choose MOTION SAMSUNG Galaxy Buds2; if you need longer playback between charges and customizable sound, choose SENNHEISER ACCENTUM True. For court use, I lean toward the Galaxy Buds2 when a small in-ear design is the priority, while the Accentum True makes more sense when battery endurance is the deciding factor.
• MOTION SAMSUNG Galaxy Buds2: Active Noise Cancellation, three adjustable Ambient Sound levels, and a compact, lightweight design; the listed battery life is five hours.
• SENNHEISER ACCENTUM True: Eight hours of playback plus 20 hours from the case, hybrid noise cancellation, and app-customizable sound; the listed charging time is 1.5 hours.
• For basketball: The Galaxy Buds2 offer an explicit Ambient Sound mode for balancing audio with awareness; neither product’s listed features establish a dedicated sports fit or basketball-specific latency performance.
• Choose Galaxy Buds2 if you want a compact earbud design and adjustable access to surrounding sound.
• Choose Accentum True if you value longer stated battery life and the ability to customize the sound through an app.
The Galaxy Buds2 are compact, in-ear wireless earbuds with Bluetooth 5.2, touch controls, Active Noise Cancellation, and Ambient Sound mode. The Ambient Sound setting uses external microphones and offers three adjustable levels. That gives you a way to bring some outside sound back in rather than treating noise reduction as an all-or-nothing choice. For basketball, that flexibility may be useful when you want to listen while staying more aware of activity nearby—but it does not make these a verified court-safe or sport-specific earbud.
Their two-way dynamic speakers are described as delivering strong bass and clear treble. Three built-in microphones with noise reduction are included for voice calls, while the stated Bluetooth range is 10 meters. Those figures matter if you plan to use them through a long day: the battery listing is shorter than the Accentum True’s, so the Galaxy Buds2 are a better fit for shorter listening stretches than for maximizing uninterrupted playback.
I’d consider the Galaxy Buds2 if a small, lightweight in-ear design, noise cancellation, and adjustable environmental awareness are the priorities. The product information says the design is 10% smaller and lighter than the prior Galaxy Buds+ model; that is a comparison with that earlier product, not a guarantee about fit for every ear. Who should skip them: skip the Galaxy Buds2 if you need the longer stated playback time, or if you specifically want evidence of basketball-oriented fit or low-latency performance—the provided specifications do not establish either.
How We Research
We compare products from their published specs and features; the verdicts below are our independent editorial opinions.
The Accentum True are in-ear wireless earbuds built around an ergonomic design with soft silicone tips. They include hybrid Active Noise Cancellation and a transparent mode for hearing more of your surroundings. That combination gives you two different listening approaches: reduce ambient distractions when you want to focus, or switch toward environmental awareness when you need it. For basketball, transparent mode may be relevant if you want to listen without fully shutting out the space around you, but the listed features do not say these earbuds are designed for court movement.
Battery life is the clearest practical strength in the specifications. The earbuds are listed for eight hours of playback, with another 20 hours available from the charging case. Charging options include Qi wireless charging and USB-C, and the listed charging time is 1.5 hours. Bluetooth 5.3 and touch controls round out the connection and control features. The product also includes dual microphone technology for calls, though the data does not provide a call runtime or measured microphone performance.
Sennheiser’s TrueResponse technology is paired with the Smart Control app, where the sound can be customized from deeper bass toward clearer highs. That makes the Accentum True appealing if you like adjusting your listening profile instead of accepting one fixed sound presentation. The trade-off is that the available description does not quantify how much adjustment is possible, and a soft silicone tip design is still an in-ear fit that may not suit everyone. Who should skip them: skip the Accentum True if you want the more compact design specifically described for the Galaxy Buds2, or if you need a verified low-latency kids headset for basketball; the listed details do not confirm that use.
• Best for longer listed playback → SENNHEISER ACCENTUM True. It lists eight hours from the earbuds and 20 additional hours from the case; the Galaxy Buds2 list five hours.
• Best for adjusting how much outside sound you hear → MOTION SAMSUNG Galaxy Buds2. Its Ambient Sound mode has three adjustable levels. The Accentum True instead lists a transparent mode without a stated number of levels.
• Best for customizable sound through an app → SENNHEISER ACCENTUM True. Its TrueResponse sound can be adjusted through the Smart Control app.
• Best for a compact, lightweight design claim → MOTION SAMSUNG Galaxy Buds2. Their design is described as 10% smaller and lighter than Galaxy Buds+.
• Best for specified charging options → SENNHEISER ACCENTUM True. The listed options include Qi wireless and USB-C charging.
• Best for noise cancellation → A close call. Galaxy Buds2 list Active Noise Cancellation; Accentum True list hybrid ANC. The specifications do not provide a direct comparative noise-reduction measurement.
• Best earbuds for basketball? → Choose based on the feature you need, not a claimed sports rating. Galaxy Buds2 offer adjustable Ambient Sound; Accentum True offer a longer listed battery life and transparent mode. Neither sheet specifies a sport-tested fit.
• Best low latency kids headset for basketball? → Neither can be confirmed from these specifications. Both use Bluetooth, but neither listing provides a latency figure or identifies a kids-specific design.
Buying Considerations
If you are searching for rotatable ear cups bluetooth headphones for basketball, note that these products are earbuds, not over-ear headphones with rotating ear cups. That distinction matters: the listed designs sit in the ear, and the specifications do not describe ear cups. Likewise, Bluetooth version alone cannot answer whether either is the best low latency kids headset for basketball. The listings identify Bluetooth 5.2 for the Galaxy Buds2 and Bluetooth 5.3 for the Accentum True, but do not state a latency measurement or a child-focused fit.
Battery details are also worth reading carefully. The Galaxy Buds2 list five hours of battery life and five hours of charging time. Accentum True list eight hours of playback, 20 additional hours from the case, and a 1.5-hour charging time. These figures give the Accentum True an advantage on paper for extended listening, but actual use depends on conditions not specified here. If charging convenience matters, the Accentum True explicitly list both USB-C and Qi wireless charging.
Finally, consider how much control you want over the sound. The Galaxy Buds2 offer touch controls and the Galaxy Wearable app is identified for controlling their features. The Accentum True offer customizable touch controls and sound adjustment through the Smart Control app. Both provide noise control and call microphones, but the product details do not quantify call clarity or compare the effectiveness of their cancellation systems. If you are weighing value, check the current price on Amazon using the page’s button and compare it with the features you’ll actually use; I can’t determine value from the specifications alone.
For basketball, I’d choose the MOTION SAMSUNG Galaxy Buds2 if compact earbuds and three adjustable Ambient Sound levels matter most to me. They make the more direct fit for someone who wants to listen while retaining a way to bring surrounding sound back in. If I expected longer listening sessions, though, I’d choose the SENNHEISER ACCENTUM True for its eight-hour earbud playback and additional case capacity. My pick is the Galaxy Buds2 for this use case, with the important caveat that neither product’s listed details confirm a basketball-tested fit or low-latency performance.
FAQ

No. Both are described as in-ear earbuds, not over-ear headphones with rotatable ear cups. If rotating cups are a must-have, these are not the form factor described in either product’s specifications.
The provided details do not give latency figures or identify either product as a kids’ headset. Bluetooth 5.2 and 5.3 describe their Bluetooth versions, but they do not establish low-latency performance or suitability for children.
