Incomplete: Students are evaluated on performance unrelated to the stated objectives.
Aligned: Assessments appear to align with objectives
Exemplary: Assessments match the objectives and learners are directed to the appropriate objective(s) for each assessment.
All the activities that students complete in our classes should align with the learning objectives for our course. One way to ensure alignment is to create a course map that correlates each learning objective with the formative and summative assessments that will measure successful achievement of that objective. You may find that there are activities that are completely unrelated to the learning objectives. These are opportunities for reorganizing and redesigning assessments.
