Start each module w/ a Module Overview page including its corresponding objectives. What should learners be able to do by the end of the week/module? Each week/module should get them closer to the successful completion of the summative assessment at the end of the unit.
Import this Sample Module Overview page from the Canvas Commons. It's a template for a Canvas page that includes a placeholder for the objectives for that module. You can import that page, customize it, and duplicate it to use at the start of each of your modules.

Below are examples of this section of the CVC Rubric in practice.
Prof. Kirsten Pogue-Cely (PERG) places her module objectives on the first page of each weekly module. The video briefly shows the location and layout of course objectives in her PERG 130 course.
Prof. Rachel Russell (GISG) has a module overview page that includes a banner image, a kick-off video for the module, learning objectives, and the assignments that will be completed in that module.
Prof. Tasha Frankie (CISC) has a module overview page that includes the objectives for that module and the corresponding course-level learning outcome to be achieved in that module. She takes it a step further and differentiates the experience for her students by defining four different levels of achievement: Intern, Junior Developer, Middle Developer, and Senior Developer. Each level has its own detailed description for the demonstration of the outcome at that level.
