Life Groups

Our focus is "Growing in God and living for Christ in our community". We will do this with a mixture of prayer, worship, Bible study and discussion of social issues.

Our overall goal will be to support and stregnthen each other as we follow Jesus. This will lead us to reach out to our neighbours with the love of Christ. We will encourage each other in this.

Our group has met since 2009 for people who want to know more about the Bible.

Members decide on the section to be studied and are encouraged to lead the discussions. We relate what we read to world events and we share personal experiences and support each other where help is needed.

This group:

• helps with English

• prays and provides practical help

• seeks to understand members' cultures and religious background

• provides Christian teaching

We intend to grow our relationship with God, as disciples of Jesus, as we study God's written and living word and apply what we learn to daily life In a welcoming environment we prayerfully and practical support each other, thereby strengthening our Mornington church family.

As the group develops, we will look at how we can serve the wider community in Christian mission based on prayerful discernment and gifts of the group members.
