Natural Family Planning (NFP) is a holistic approach to achieving or avoiding pregnancy within marriage. NFP refers to a variety of methods that use close monitoring of naturally occurring signs and symptoms- such as cervical mucus, basal body temperatures, and urinary hormones- to track the fertile and infertile windows within a woman's menstrual cycle. Couples then use the data to inform their decisions regarding intimacy and family planning. If, through prayerful discernment, responsible parenthood would be to avoid or delay a pregnancy, they practice abstinence during the fertile window and have intercourse during the infertile windows.

By respecting the love-giving and life-giving natures of marriage, NFP can enrich the bond between husband and wife." Natural Family Planning is ultimately an invitation to experience a greater exchange of love between you and your spouse, allowing marriages to be faithful, fruitful, and holy.

The Marquette Method of NFP was developed from thoughtful research at the Boland Institute of Natural Family Planning at Marquette University. It is an evidence-based method that primarily uses the observation of urinary hormones to identify a woman's fertile window by which the couple can discern with each other and God, to either avoid or achieve a pregnancy. The Clearblue Fertility Monitor is the most widely used tool by Marquette method users, to track the urinary hormone changes that mark a woman's ovulation. Other monitors are also currently on the market and are being researched for effectiveness of tracking the fertile and infertile times of a woman's cycle. I provide instruction to couples using the Mira Monitor by request.

My name is Amanda Morley, founder of Morley NFP Ministries. I am a wife, mother, and nurse. Morley NFP Ministry began soon after the birth of my daughter, when I realized how important it was for couples to have an advocate and mentor to help them through the uncertainty that often comes in various seasons of NFP.
In 2022 I completed the Marquette Method teaching certification through the Institute of Natural Family planning at Marquette University. All Marquette Method certified instructors are medical professionals, which allows us to quickly identify health concerns through cycle charting as well as offer tailored coaching to optimize fertility.
To date I have taught over 200 couples including:
Engaged couples going through marriage prep
Married couples looking to learn NFP for the first time
Couples looking to switch from a previous method of NFP
Women discontinuing birth control and switching to NFP
Women with complex medical diagnosis that affect fertility
