This policy describes the data handling of version 1.0.0 of the Mordor Intelligence Internal Traffic Marker browser extension. The extension helps identify internal browser traffic so company-configured analytics rules can exclude employee visits.
The extension creates and reads a non-unique first-party cookie named mi_internal with value 1 on mordorintelligence.com, mordorintelligence.it, mordorintelligence.kr, and mordorintelligence.ar, including their HTTPS subdomains. The marker does not include an employee name, email address, account identifier, or unique tracking identifier.
The extension reads marker status and expiry locally to display its popup. Chrome's cookie-change API may notify the extension of cookie changes within the permitted hosts; the code filters those notifications to maintain its marker. It does not retain or transmit unrelated cookie values.
The extension does not collect page contents, browsing history, credentials, or usage telemetry. It does not send information to an extension-operated server and contains no remote executable code. The browser sends the marker cookie to matching company websites during ordinary browsing. Separately configured company analytics systems may use the marker to suppress internal-traffic events. Other data processing by those websites is governed by their applicable privacy notices.
The cookies permission is used to create, read, and restore the marker. The alarms permission schedules hourly refreshes. Host permissions limit cookie access to the four named company domain families over HTTPS. The extension does not inject content scripts or inspect page contents.
Each marker expires 24 hours after its last refresh. The extension refreshes markers at installation, browser startup, background initialization, and hourly, and attempts to restore deleted or changed markers. Uninstalling or disabling the extension stops those refreshes but does not immediately delete existing cookies. After removal, clear the relevant cookies in browser settings or allow them to expire. For an organization-managed installation, contact your IT team about removal.
The extension operates in the browser profiles where it is installed. Incognito is not supported. It does not authenticate employee identity, and the same marker is applied to any browser profile where the extension is installed. Marker presence does not by itself guarantee that analytics exclusion is configured or active.

If the extension's data handling changes, this notice should be updated to describe the new behavior and effective date.
