If you want premium stereo sound with powerful bass for long video calls and sports, choose MOOR Black OpenWave Open; if you need seamless voice assistant integration and instant connection for quick meetings, choose Amazfit Up.
• MOOR Black OpenWave Open: Offers massive 16.2mm drivers for deep bass and a 40-hour total playtime, but lacks the AI-driven noise cancellation found in its competitor. Best for music lovers and marathon runners who prioritize audio fidelity and battery endurance.
• Amazfit Up: Features an AI-enhanced call system and instant pairing with a compact, lightweight case, though it uses smaller balanced armature drivers that may lack the same bass punch. Best for professionals and tech-savvy users who value smart features and quick connectivity over heavy bass.
The MOOR Black OpenWave Open is built for the person who refuses to compromise on audio quality while maintaining situational awareness. Its defining feature is the large 16.2mm dynamic driver, which is significantly larger than the typical 6-13mm drivers found in most open-ear competitors. This physical advantage translates directly into performance: you get powerful bass, rich mids, and detailed trebles that make electronic, hip-hop, and rock tracks sound full and immersive. If you are looking for the best wireless headphones for video calls where you also want your favorite playlists to sound crisp without sacrificing immersion, this design caters specifically to that dual need. The open-ear architecture means the earbuds rest gently on the top of the ear rather than plugging the canal, eliminating the discomfort and pressure headaches common with in-ear models during extended wear.
Battery life is another area where this model shines for the active user. With a single charge delivering 10 to 11 hours of continuous playback, and a charging case that extends that total to 40 hours, you can go days between charges even with heavy use. This makes it an ideal choice for travelers or commuters who might miss a charging opportunity. The Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity ensures a stable link up to 10 meters away, reducing the frustration of signal dropouts during workouts or when moving around the house. Furthermore, the IPX4 rating confirms these earbuds are splash-proof and sweatproof, making them durable enough for intense cycling, hiking, or gym sessions without fear of moisture damage.

However, this product is not for everyone. While it includes four microphones and ENC (Environmental Noise Cancellation) technology to filter background noise during calls, it does not feature the advanced AI noise reduction algorithms found in some newer competitors. If your primary environment is a wind-swept street or a chaotic office with constant mechanical clatter, the standard ENC might struggle slightly more than a dedicated AI system. Additionally, the larger 16.2mm drivers mean the sound profile leans heavily toward a bass-forward experience. If you prefer a neutral, flat sound signature often favored by audiophiles for classical or acoustic genres, you might find the bass response too pronounced. You should skip this option if you rely heavily on voice assistants like Siri or Google Assistant for daily tasks, as this model focuses on media control and touch inputs rather than integrated smart assistant access via triple-tap gestures.
The Amazfit Up targets a different demographic entirely: the mobile professional and the gadget enthusiast who values ecosystem integration above all else. Its standout feature is the focus on communication clarity through AI-enhanced call quality. The device utilizes AI noise reduction to actively filter out wind and environmental noise, which is particularly useful if you frequently take calls while walking down busy streets or in windy conditions. For someone prioritizing crystal-clear audio transmission during remote work or business meetings, this specific processing capability offers a distinct advantage over standard noise cancellation methods. The "instant connection" feature allows you to pair seamlessly the moment you remove the earbuds from the case, minimizing friction when you need to jump into a conference call immediately. This speed and reliability are crucial for those who view their earbuds as a primary tool for productivity rather than just entertainment.
Design-wise, the Amazfit Up leans into versatility with a theme that appeals to a wide range of interests, including cartoons, movies, sports, TV series, and video games. While the aesthetic is functional, the true utility lies in its smart controls. You can easily connect with voice assistants by using the Amazfit watch with Zepp Flow or simply by triple-tapping the earbud. This level of integration suggests a user who wants their audio gear to be part of a broader connected lifestyle. The touch controls are designed to be resistant to humidity and sweat, ensuring that accidental slips or perspiration during a workout don't disrupt your ability to manage audio or answer calls. The carrying case is compact, measuring 6.7 centimeters in length, making it easy to slip into a pocket or small bag without adding bulk.
Despite these strengths, there are trade-offs to consider. The Amazfit Up employs a Balanced Armature Driver rather than the large dynamic driver found in the MOOR model. While balanced armature drivers excel at clarity and detail, they typically do not deliver the same deep, rumbling bass that dynamic drivers provide. If you listen primarily to bass-heavy genres, you might find the sound profile here less engaging. Additionally, the total battery life is listed as 24 hours with the case, which, while respectable, falls short of the MOOR's 40-hour capacity. You would need to recharge the case more frequently if you are on a multi-day trip without access to power. This model is best suited for adults who need a reliable, smart-enabled headset for mixed-use scenarios but may not require the extended marathon battery life or the specific bass impact of the MOOR alternative.
• Best for Bass and Music Fidelity → MOOR Black OpenWave Open: The 16.2mm dynamic drivers provide a richer, fuller sound with deeper lows compared to the balanced armature setup in the Amazfit.
• Best for Smart Assistant Integration → Amazfit Up: The triple-tap gesture for phone assistants and Zepp Flow compatibility offer a smarter, more connected experience for tech users.
• Best for Battery Life → MOOR Black OpenWave Open: With up to 40 hours of total playtime, this model lasts nearly twice as long on a single charge cycle compared to the Amazfit.
• Best for Windy/Noisy Call Environments → Amazfit Up: The AI-enhanced noise reduction specifically targets wind and complex backgrounds for superior call clarity in harsh conditions.
• Best for Extended Wear Comfort → Both: Both utilize open-ear designs that avoid blocking the ear canal, making them excellent for long durations, though the MOOR weighs slightly less per unit.
• Best for Sports Durability → MOOR Black OpenWave Open: The IPX4 rating combined with a secure fit designed for running and cycling makes it a robust companion for high-intensity activities.
• Best for Quick Pairing → Amazfit Up: The "instant connection" feature minimizes wait times, allowing you to engage in meetings or calls faster upon removal from the case.
• Best for Video Calls → MOOR Black OpenWave Open: For video calls where you also want to enjoy high-quality audio, the combination of clear microphone arrays and superior sound reproduction makes this the stronger contender.
After weighing the specifications and intended use cases, I recommend the MOOR Black OpenWave Open. While the Amazfit Up offers impressive AI features and smart integration, the MOOR delivers a more complete audio experience with its larger drivers and significantly longer battery life. For anyone seeking the best wireless headphones for video calls who also cares about listening to music with depth and power, the MOOR is the clear winner. The 40-hour battery life alone removes the anxiety of frequent charging, and the open-ear design ensures you stay safe and comfortable whether you are working from home or training outdoors. In my opinion, the superior sound quality and endurance make it the more versatile tool for the modern user.
Yes, both models have age descriptions including teens and kids, but the MOOR Black OpenWave Open is particularly suitable due to its secure fit and durable construction, making it a strong candidate for the best sweatproof kids headphones for video calls or school use.
The MOOR Black OpenWave Open offers up to 40 hours of total playtime with its charging case, whereas the Amazfit Up provides a total of 24 hours, meaning the MOOR requires less frequent recharging.
Both earbuds carry an IPX4 rating, confirming they are sweatproof and splash-proof, making them appropriate for sweaty gym sessions, running, and other athletic activities without fear of moisture damage.
