During January of 2020, Guinness World Records worked with speedrun.com, introducing speedruns that could nab you an official Guinness World Record. One of these took place in Super Mario Odyssey, dubbed as "Fastest time to beat all six boss rematches in Super Mario Odyssey (Nintendo, 2017)". As the name suggests, this speedrun consisted of beating all the boss rematches, taking place in the Mushroom Kingdom Boss Paintings, [obviously] as fast you could.
"The fastest time to beat all six boss rematches in Super Mario Odyssey (Nintendo, 2017) is 12 min 30 sec, and was achieved by 'Nicolas "heytherecool" Lalos' on 23 January 2020."
"[heytherecool] said the following about the attempt.
"'Pretty happy with this run but overreacted at the time due to my timeloss at the end of the last boss fight. I always wanted to get a Guinness World Record and I am a high level Super Mario Odyssey player, so with my skill in this game, this was a perfect opportunity to achieve one.'"
