# Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to the Android app Mood Tracker (the "App").
Mood Tracker is published by Yax Technologies.

## Overview
Mood Tracker helps you record moods, activities, notes, session durations,
reminders, and mood preferences. You can use the App in guest mode without
signing in. Guest mode stores your data locally on your device. If you choose to
sign in with Google, the App can sync your mood data to Firebase Cloud Firestore
so you can keep a cloud-backed copy of your data.
We do not sell your personal data. We do not use the App to show ads, track you
across other apps or websites, or collect location, camera, microphone, contacts,
SMS, or file data.
## Information We Collect
### Information you create in the App
The App may store the information you enter or configure, including:
- mood selections;
- mood log dates and times;
- activity labels;
- notes you write;
- duration values;
- reminder times, selected days, enabled or disabled status, and deletion
timestamps;
- mood preference settings;
- record identifiers and created or updated timestamps used to save and sync
your data.
Because Mood Tracker is a wellness-style app, your mood entries and notes may
include health, emotional, or other sensitive information if you choose to enter
that information.
### Google sign-in information
If you choose to sign in with Google, the App uses Firebase Authentication and
Google Sign-In. The App may receive account information needed to identify your
account in the App, including your Firebase user ID, display name, email address,
and Google profile photo URL.
Google and Firebase may also process technical information needed to provide
authentication, security, abuse prevention, and cloud database services, such as
IP address, user agent, app identifiers, and service logs.
### Information we do not collect
Based on the current Android app implementation, Mood Tracker does not collect:
- precise or approximate location;
- photos, videos, audio, camera, or microphone data;
- contacts, call logs, SMS, or calendar data;
- payment card or banking information;
- advertising identifiers for advertising or tracking;
- analytics events through Firebase Analytics, Google Analytics, Crashlytics, or
an ads SDK.
If these features are added later, this Privacy Policy must be updated before
the updated app is published.
## How We Use Information
We use the information described above to:
- save and display your mood history;
- show summaries, calendars, and mood insights inside the App;
- manage reminders and mood preferences;
- provide optional Google sign-in;
- sync signed-in user data between the device and Firebase Cloud Firestore;
- maintain App functionality, security, and account integrity;
- respond to support, privacy, deletion, or legal requests.
## Local Storage and Cloud Sync
When you use guest mode, your App data is stored locally on your device using the
App's local database. Local guest data is not sent to our cloud database unless
you choose to sign in with Google and cloud sync is available.
When you sign in with Google, the App uploads and syncs your mood logs,
reminders, and preferences to Firebase Cloud Firestore under your Firebase user
ID. The App also keeps a local copy on your device so the App can continue to
display your data.
Signing out does not automatically delete the local copy on your device. You can
remove local data by deleting the App or clearing the App's storage from Android
system settings.
## Sharing and Service Providers
We do not sell your personal data. We do not share your data with advertisers.
We use Google services as service providers for App functionality:
- Firebase Authentication and Google Sign-In for optional account sign-in;
- Firebase Cloud Firestore for optional cloud sync.
These providers process data on our behalf to provide authentication, cloud
storage, security, and related infrastructure services. We may also disclose
information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or with your
explicit direction or consent.
## Security
Data sent to Firebase and Google services is transmitted using encrypted
connections. Firebase services also provide security controls for cloud-stored
data.
Local App data is stored in the App's private storage area on your device. The
current App implementation does not add separate application-level encryption to
the local database, so local data security also depends on your device security,
Android protections, screen lock, backups, and any other apps or services you
use.
No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we use reasonable
measures designed to protect the information handled by the App.
## Data Retention and Deletion
Guest mode data stays on your device until you delete the App, clear the App's
storage, or otherwise remove the data from your device.
Cloud-synced data is retained while your App account data remains active, unless
you ask us to delete it. Deleted reminders may be retained as minimal deletion
markers so the App can keep sync behavior consistent across devices. If you
request deletion of your App account data, we will delete or de-identify the
cloud-synced mood logs, reminders, preferences, and related account records that
we control, unless we are required to retain certain information for legal,
security, fraud-prevention, or dispute-resolution purposes.
To request deletion, contact us at [enter your privacy contact email or
account deletion request URL]. If your App allows account creation or sign-in,
you should also provide an account deletion request link in Google Play Console
and make the deletion option readily discoverable in the App.
Removing Mood Tracker's access from your Google Account or signing out of the
App does not automatically delete cloud-synced data stored for the App. Please
use the deletion request process above if you want cloud-synced App data deleted.
## Your Choices and Rights
You can:
- use the App in guest mode without Google sign-in;
- choose whether to sign in with Google;
- sign out of Google sign-in inside the App;
- delete local data by uninstalling the App or clearing App storage in Android
settings;
- request access to, correction of, export of, or deletion of cloud-synced App
data by contacting us.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional privacy rights under local
law. We will respond to privacy requests as required by applicable law.
## Children
Mood Tracker is not directed to children under 13 or to children under the
minimum age required by the laws of their country or region. We do not knowingly
collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided personal
data through the App, contact us so we can review and delete it where required.
## International Processing
If you use Google sign-in or cloud sync, your information may be processed and
stored in countries where Google, Firebase, their affiliates, or their service
providers operate. These countries may have privacy laws different from those in
your country or region.
## Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the App, our services, or legal
requirements change. The updated policy will be identified by a new effective
date. If changes are material, we will provide notice as required by applicable
law or platform policy.
