MoodSpend: Expense & Budget
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using MoodSpend ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
2. Description of Service
MoodSpend is a personal expense tracking application that allows you to:
- Record and categorize daily expenses
- Tag expenses with mood indicators
- Track spending budgets and streaks
- View spending reports and analytics
- Sync data across Apple devices (Pro subscription)
The App is designed for personal, non-commercial use only.
3. User Eligibility
You must be at least 9 years of age to use the App. By using the App, you represent that you meet this requirement.
4. Account and Data
4.1 No Account Required
MoodSpend does not require account creation. The App uses your device's local storage and optionally your Apple iCloud account for data sync.
4.2 Your Data
You retain full ownership of all data you enter into the App. We do not claim any rights to your data. See our Privacy Policy for details on how your data is stored and protected.
4.3 Data Accuracy
You are responsible for the accuracy of the data you enter. MoodSpend provides tools for tracking and analysis but does not verify the accuracy of your entries.
5. Subscriptions and Payments
5.1 Free Tier
The App offers a free tier with the following features:
- Unlimited expense tracking and local storage
- 10 default expense categories
- Basic reports (last 30 days)
- Daily spending streak
- Basic budget tracking
5.2 Pro Subscription
MoodSpend Pro is available as an auto-renewable subscription with the following plans:
- **Weekly:** $1.99 per week
- **Monthly:** $4.99 per month
- **Yearly:** $29.99 per year
5.3 Payment
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at the confirmation of purchase
- Prices are in US Dollars and may vary by region based on Apple's pricing matrix
- Prices are subject to change with notice
5.4 Auto-Renewal
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
- Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period
- The renewal price will be the same as the original subscription price unless we notify you of a price change
5.5 Cancellation
- You can cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID account settings (Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions)
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
- You will retain access to Pro features until the end of your paid period
- Upon cancellation, your data remains on your device (nothing is deleted)
- No refunds are provided for partial subscription periods
5.6 Managing Subscriptions
To manage or cancel your subscription:
1. Open the **Settings** app on your iPhone
2. Tap your **Apple ID** at the top
3. Tap **Subscriptions**
4. Select **MoodSpend Pro**
5. Tap **Cancel Subscription**
6. Intellectual Property
6.1 App Ownership
MoodSpend, including its design, code, graphics, icons, and content, is owned by the developer and protected by intellectual property laws.
6.2 License
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes, subject to these Terms.
6.3 Restrictions
You may not:
- Copy, modify, or distribute the App
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- Use the App for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
- Remove any proprietary notices from the App
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE
- ACCURACY OF FINANCIAL CALCULATIONS
- UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION
MoodSpend is a personal expense tracking tool and does NOT provide:
- Financial advice
- Tax advice
- Investment advice
- Accounting services
You should consult a qualified financial professional for financial advice.
8. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE DEVELOPER SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:
- Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
- Loss of data, revenue, or profits
- Interruption of service
- Any damages arising from your use of or inability to use the App
Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months preceding the claim.
9. Data Loss
While we take reasonable measures to protect your data, we are not responsible for data loss due to:
- Device failure or damage
- iOS updates or changes
- Deletion of the App
- iCloud storage issues
- Circumstances beyond our control
We recommend regularly exporting your data (Pro feature) for backup purposes.
10. Third-Party Services
10.1 Apple Services
The App uses Apple's services including:
- **Core Data:** For local data storage
- **CloudKit:** For iCloud Sync (Pro feature)
- **StoreKit:** For subscription management
- **UserNotifications:** For reminders
Your use of these services is subject to Apple's terms and conditions.
0.2 No Other Third-Party Services
The App does not integrate with any other third-party services, APIs, or SDKs.
11. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of significant changes through an App update. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
12. Termination
We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to the App if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your license to use the App is revoked.
13. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the developer resides, without regard to conflict of law principles.

15. Apple-Specific Terms
- These Terms are between you and the developer, not Apple
- Apple has no obligation to furnish maintenance or support services for the App
- Apple is not responsible for any product warranties
- Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims relating to the App
- In the event of any third-party claim that the App infringes intellectual property rights, the developer, not Apple, is responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement, and discharge of such claim
