# Privacy Policy for MoodPlayer
**Effective date:** August 16, 2026
**Developer:** Lumen Harbor Apps
**Privacy contact:** privacy@lumenharbor.example
Lumen Harbor Apps ("we," "us," or "our") provides MoodPlayer, an Android
application for playing and organizing audio and video stored on a user's
device. This Privacy Policy explains what information MoodPlayer accesses, how
it is used, when third parties may collect information, and the choices
available to users.
## Information MoodPlayer Accesses
### Media and files on the device
With the user's permission, MoodPlayer accesses audio and video files and
related metadata on the device. This access is used to:
- find and display locally stored audio and video;
- play media selected by the user;
- display titles, artists, albums, durations, and cover artwork;
- allow the user to edit supported cover artwork or metadata;
- rename, delete, bookmark, or block media when the user requests those
actions; and
- remember playback and application preferences.
Media files, bookmarks, block lists, and application settings are processed
locally on the device. We do not operate a server that receives copies of the
user's media library or listening history.
Some user-directed actions, such as editing, renaming, or deleting media, can
change files stored outside MoodPlayer. Uninstalling MoodPlayer does not undo
changes already made to those files.
### Playback and device functionality
MoodPlayer may use Android foreground-service, wake-lock, notification, and
system-setting capabilities to continue media playback, show playback
controls, keep playback active when appropriate, and adjust supported playback
features such as screen brightness. MoodPlayer uses these capabilities only to
provide functions requested by the user.
## Advertising and Third-Party Data Collection
MoodPlayer displays advertisements through AppLovin MAX and may use Meta
Audience Network as a mediated advertising provider. These third-party SDKs may
automatically collect or receive information such as:
- IP address and approximate location derived from it;
- advertising identifiers, where available;
- device manufacturer, model, operating system, language, and time zone;
- network and connection information;
- app installation, session, interaction, performance, and crash information;
- information about advertisements requested, displayed, viewed, clicked, or
otherwise interacted with; and
- consent, privacy-choice, fraud-prevention, and device-security signals.
Advertising providers may use this information to deliver and measure ads,
limit repeated ads, detect fraud and abuse, provide reporting, and, where
permitted by law and the user's choices, personalize advertising. Their data
practices are governed by their own policies:
- [AppLovin Privacy Policy](https://legal.applovin.com/privacy/)
- [Meta Privacy Policy](https://www.facebook.com/privacy/policy/)
- [Meta Audience Network](https://www.facebook.com/audiencenetwork/)
We do not receive the user's name, email address, media files, or contact list
from these advertising SDKs. We may receive aggregated advertising and revenue
reports that do not directly identify a user to us.
## Legal Bases and Privacy Choices
Where required, advertising-related processing is based on consent. In other
cases, processing may be necessary to provide the requested app functionality
or may be based on legitimate interests such as preventing fraud, maintaining
security, measuring service performance, and supporting an ad-funded service.
Depending on the user's location, the user may have rights to access, correct,
delete, restrict, or object to certain processing, withdraw consent, or opt out
of the sale, sharing, or use of personal information for targeted advertising.
Advertising choices may be available through MoodPlayer's consent interface,
Android privacy or advertising settings, and the privacy controls offered by
AppLovin and Meta.
Resetting or deleting the device advertising identifier may also limit the
ability of advertising providers to associate advertising activity over time.
## Data Sharing
MoodPlayer does not sell the user's media files or local playback library. Data
may be shared with AppLovin, Meta, and their advertising, measurement,
anti-fraud, and service partners as described above. Information may also be
disclosed when required by law, to protect users or the public, to investigate
fraud or security incidents, or as part of a business transfer where permitted
by law.
## Data Retention and Deletion
Bookmarks, block lists, cached artwork, and preferences remain on the device
until the user removes them, clears MoodPlayer's storage, or uninstalls the app.
Users can remove cached data through the app where that option is available.
Advertising providers retain information according to their own policies and
legal obligations. Requests concerning information controlled by AppLovin or
Meta should be submitted through the privacy mechanisms described in their
respective policies.
MoodPlayer does not require an account. Therefore, there is no server-side
MoodPlayer account to delete. Clearing app storage or uninstalling the app
deletes MoodPlayer's locally stored configuration and cache, but does not
delete media files or reverse edits the user made to files outside the app.
## Data Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures intended to protect
information processed by MoodPlayer. Local application data is protected by
Android's application sandbox. No method of storage or transmission is
completely secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
## International Processing
Advertising providers and their service partners may process information in
countries other than the user's country. Those countries may have different
data-protection laws. Such processing is governed by the safeguards and terms
described in the applicable provider's privacy policy.
## Children's Privacy
MoodPlayer is not directed to children under 13, or the minimum age required by
local law. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from
children. The app and its advertising SDKs must not be used in a child-directed
context unless all legally required child-protection settings and policies have
been implemented. If you believe a child has provided personal information in
connection with MoodPlayer, contact us so the issue can be investigated.
## Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to MoodPlayer, third-party
services, or applicable requirements. The updated policy will include a new
effective date. Material changes may also be communicated in the app or store
listing where appropriate.
