Equally there were educative webinars that may help in understanding more about the SDGs, the HLPF and all that is entailed in the rolling out of a Decade of Action. There were 10 sessions in all beginning on Tuesday 7th and finishing on Monday 13th and all recording are included.

That National Justice and Peace Network UK schedule a well attended conference in the Midland UK every year and this year the physical ability to attend was reduced to a slimmed down agenda across Zoom, but nonetheless pertinent and on point. I had been scheduled to attend this conference as a contributor at one of the workshops but my attendance has now been postponed until next year. I am very grateful to Sr. Susan Richert and Mary Deane who have sent on their report of their attendance at this event recently. (Below)

We are not "surprised that a study this month calculated there are 100,000 victims of modern slavery in Britain. “The thing about slavery is that it’s a vastly hidden crime,” she says. “There are control mechanisms that are used very effectively by enslavers and traffickers to keep people quiet and to make victims fear going forward to the authorities to ask for help.”
