Monomoy WritesIntroductionOn October 9th, MRHS's Sandscript journeyed to Pleasant Bay in Orleans for our annual field trip to inspire our student creative writers and enjoy the beauty of Cape Cod. We did not travel alone, though, as members of Advanced Photography and the National Art Honor Society also joined, all of us together capturing every aspect of the natural environment.
The TripSome absolutely stunning photos are featured here, and more can be found when Sandscript releases a Pleasant Bay booklet later this year. In that same book, dozens of pieces from our members will live, but here's a little secret: they're also on Monomoy Writes! Go over to the Sandscript page and read the many fantastic poems and stories inspired by the trip, alongside works from years prior.
ConclusionWith the success of our trip, we trek on, now preparing for our yearly visit to CES and HES! There, fall-inspired short stories will be read to students in Kindergarten through Grade 2, with fantastic illustrations and a fun time to follow.
