Privacy Policy for Monolith

Last updated: October 7, 2026

Overview

Monolith (the App) is a handstand training timer and progression journal for iOS. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App handles. The short version: Monolith collects no personal data, runs no analytics, shows no ads, and talks to no servers. Everything you create stays in a single file on your device.

Information We Do Not Collect

Monolith is built as a fully offline utility. The App does not require an account, sign-in, email address, or password; does not collect, transmit, or store personal information of any kind; does not use analytics, tracking, or measurement frameworks; does not display third-party advertising or ad-network SDKs; does not access your camera, microphone, photos, contacts, calendar, location, Bluetooth, or files; does not use cookies or any web-based tracking technology; and does not sell or share data with anyone, because it holds no data to share.

Information Stored On Your Device

The only data the App creates are your training records: sessions (stage, date, duration, drills completed), freestanding hold attempts from the Line Test, your haptics preference, and progress flags such as which badges you have already seen and whether onboarding is complete. All of this is stored locally in a single JSON file inside the App's documents directory, using only the operating system's standard file storage. This data never leaves your device: it is not uploaded, synced, backed up to our servers (we have none), or transmitted to any third party. Deleting the App from your device permanently erases the file and everything in it. You can also wipe all progress at any time from Settings, Reset all progress.

Third-Party Services

The App contains no third-party SDKs or services that process data. Apple may receive standard, anonymous device and crash diagnostics through its operating system (for example, if you have opted in to share analytics with Apple), which is governed by Apple's own Privacy Policy at apple.com/legal/privacy and is outside the App's control.

Children's Privacy

Monolith does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13 (or under the age of digital consent in your region). The App is rated for general audiences and contains no user-generated content, communication, or social features. Because inversion training loads wrists and shoulders, the App is intended for use by adults, or by minors only under the supervision of a parent or guardian.

Health and Safety Notice

Monolith is a training timer and journal, not a medical product. Handstands place significant load on wrists, shoulders and neck. Train on a clear floor, learn to bail safely, and stop at sharp pain. If you have wrist, shoulder or neck conditions, consult a physiotherapist before training. This notice is also shown inside the App on the Settings screen.

Changes to This Policy

If the App's functionality ever changes in a way that affects data handling, this policy will be updated before that version is released. The Last updated date at the top reflects the most recent revision.

Consent

By using Monolith, you consent to this policy. Since the App collects nothing, there is nothing further to agree to, opt into, or opt out of.
