1. Introduction
MonoTrack ("the App") is a minimalist habit-tracking application designed for personal productivity. This Privacy Policy explains our practices regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of information when you use our App. We are committed to a "Local-First" philosophy, meaning your data stays with you.
2. Information Collection and Use
MonoTrack does not collect, transmit, or store any personal information on external servers.
Habit Data: All habit names, emojis, check-in timestamps, and color preferences are stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage. We have no access to this data.
No Accounts: The App does not require user accounts, email registration, or social media logins.
No Analytics: We do not use third-party analytics (like Firebase or Google Analytics) to track your behavior or usage patterns.
3. Device Permissions
To provide the intended user experience, MonoTrack requests the following:
Local Storage (AsyncStorage): To save your habits and progress so they are available the next time you open the App.
Haptics/Vibration: To provide tactile feedback when you interact with the "Liquid Bars."
4. Third-Party Services
The App is built using Expo and React Native.
No Ads: MonoTrack does not contain any third-party advertisements or tracking SDKs.
No Data Sharing: Because we do not collect your data, we cannot and do not share it with any third parties, including advertisers or data brokers.
5. Data Retention and Deletion
Your data is stored only on your physical device.
Manual Deletion: You can delete individual habits within the "Architect" screen.
Complete Deletion: Uninstalling the App will automatically delete all habit data and history from your device. We do not keep any "backups" of your data.
6. Children’s Privacy
MonoTrack is designed for a general audience and does not knowingly collect any data from children under the age of 13. Given that no data is transmitted off the device, the App is inherently safe regarding children's data privacy.
7. Security
While we do not store data on servers, we encourage you to keep your device secure (using biometrics or passcodes) to protect your local habit data from unauthorized physical access.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our App's functionality. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Effective Date."
