I am a development economist specialising in applied microeconomics, with a strong record in university-level teaching and research. I hold a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Economics from the University of Melbourne, Australia. I currently serve as an Assistant Professor of Economics at the University of Dhaka, where I teach graduate-level courses and supervise graduate researchers. My research employs rigorous micro-econometric methods to evaluate the impact of policy interventions and development programmes. I work at the intersection of labour economics, gender, education, demography, social norms, and poverty — with a particular focus on how structural and behavioural factors shape economic outcomes in developing country contexts.
