As a long-time homeowner in Santee, I treasure the sense of community we’ve established in our city. Our schools are the core of this community, and I am proud to have sent my children here to learn and grow.

I am running for Santee School Board because I absolutely loved every day I spent teaching students. It is an indescribable experience to see a student's face light up as they process and understand a concept, or realize what is going to happen to a character in a novel that we’re reading. Parent/family involvement is vital, and I always welcome others to share their knowledge and culture with students.
As an educator, I am proud of the relationships I have developed with parents, students, and colleagues, the programs I have implemented, and the progress and success of my students. I have organized multiple fundraisers, school-wide academic programs, and school events such as science fairs and Special Olympics. I’ve also coached cheerleading and had the highest state testing scores at one of my schools for several years.
