Some organically good performing IG posts were randomly promoted to gain followers on OneCricket's official Instagram account.

While we didn't gain any followers from the ads, it did give us decent impressions and profile visits which built brand awareness for OneCricket.
Teaser posts for brand's first-ever social media campaign were promoted to announce the contest and increase participation through OneCricket's official Facebook Page.

The ads performed okay-to-good in terms of building anticipation for the campaign, other than creating brand awareness for OneCricket. However, it is important to mention here that Facebook was never part of the social media strategy as stated in an email by the senior management to me during my tenure at the company.
A testing was done on Twitter using advertising to check the scope of app downloads via OneCricket's official Twitter account.

In summary, we spent $50 on two Tweets which received 22,140 impressions, 2,331 engagements, and 0.105 engagement rate with no uptick in the app downloads from the ads. The Promoted Tweets collectively received 60 likes, 4 retweets, and 0 replies.
I wrote the ad copy for the above campaigns.
I also selected the creative for these campaigns.
It was my first hands-on experience with social media advertising campaigns, but in a limited capacity and in varying settings.
For WCW, I played a supportive role as an individual contributor to the person doing paid social.
For OneCricket, I worked with a team of designers while providing support to the individual doing social media advertising.
Going forward, I am interested in creating and implementing paid social media campaigns for brands that want to leverage social media to meet their target audience for the promotion of their products and services. : )
