1. App Overview

MoneyTracker is a personal finance tracking app that helps users record income, expenses, categories, payment modes, notes, and view weekly, monthly, and yearly analytics.

2. Information We Collect

MoneyTracker may collect or store the following information entered by the user inside the app:

• User name entered during first-time setup

• Income records

• Expense records

• Transaction title

• Transaction amount

• Transaction category

• Payment mode

• Date and time of transaction

• Notes added by the user

• Backup files created by the user

MoneyTracker does not collect sensitive financial account credentials such as bank login ID, bank password, card PIN, UPI PIN, OTP, or net banking credentials.

3. How We Use Information

The information entered by the user is used only for app features such as:

• Showing dashboard summary

• Tracking income and expenses

• Showing weekly, monthly, and yearly analytics

• Exporting data as CSV

• Creating backup files

• Restoring data from backup

• Helping users understand their spending pattern

4. Local Data Storage

MoneyTracker is an offline-first app. The user’s transaction data is stored locally on the user’s device using the app’s local database.

If the user uninstalls the app, resets the phone, or changes the phone without creating a backup, locally stored data may be lost.

5. Backup and Restore

MoneyTracker may allow users to create backup files manually or save backup files to locations such as local storage, Files app, or Google Drive, depending on the user’s choice.

If Google Drive backup is used, the user authorizes the app to save and restore backup data using the selected Google account.

Backup files may contain the user’s transaction records. Users are responsible for keeping backup files safe.

6. CSV Export

MoneyTracker may allow users to export transaction data as a CSV file. CSV export is intended for personal use, such as viewing data in Excel or Google Sheets.

7. Data Sharing

MoneyTracker does not sell user data.

MoneyTracker does not share user transaction data with advertisers or third parties.

Data is shared only when the user intentionally exports, backs up, or restores data using features available in the app.

8. Internet Access

MoneyTracker may use internet access only for optional features such as Google Drive backup and restore, if enabled by the user.

Core money tracking features can work offline.

9. Ads

MoneyTracker currently does not use third-party ads.

If ads are added in the future, this Privacy Policy will be updated to explain what data may be collected or shared through advertising services.

10. Data Security

MoneyTracker uses local app storage for storing user data. Users should protect their device with screen lock, password, fingerprint, or other security options.

If users export or create backup files, they should store those files safely.

11. User Control

Users can:

• Add transaction data

• Edit transaction data

• Delete transaction data

• Export data

• Create backup

• Restore backup

• Reset all app data

12. Children’s Privacy

MoneyTracker is not designed specifically for children. The app does not knowingly collect personal data from children.
