Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
1. How do I add or delete a transaction?
To add a transaction, tap the “+” button on your Dashboard, enter the amount, category, type (income or expense), and save. To delete, go to Expenses Details, swipe left on the transaction you want to remove, and tap “Delete.”
2. How can I export my data?
On the Dashboard, tap Export CSV. You can then share or save the CSV file containing your full transaction history for backup or import into other tools.
3. How do I set my monthly budget and savings target?
When you first open the app, you’ll be prompted to enter your monthly budget and an optional savings goal. To change these later, go to Settings → Budget Settings and update the values.
4. What is Expense Planning and how do I use it?
Expense Planning lets you set planned spending amounts for each category. Open Expense Planning, adjust or add categories and planned amounts, then view the Comparison section to see how your actual spending lines up against your plan.
5. How do notifications work?
MoneyMate will send you an immediate alert if your balance falls below your set budget threshold. You’ll also receive daily reminders to check your cash and 2‑hour nudges (“Don’t forget your money”) to keep you on track.
