Here is the format for our playoffs.

We will be divided into three divisions:

  • The A division is made up of the top 2 teams from each east and west,
  • The B division is the next 2 teams from each side, and
  • The C division (or Open) is the remainder of the teams.

There are three playoff games:

  • The first game is on Monday, March 25, at East York, and
  • The second and third games are at High Park on Saturday, March 30.

Each game is 6 ends long. Scoring is as follows:

  • 40 points for a win (a tie game splits the points, 20 for each team)
  • 4 points per end won (a blank end splits the points, 2 for each team)
  • 1 point per point scored (to a maximum of 12)
  • There are no tie-breakers.

For the bonspiel on Saturday, March 30:

  • A & B divisions will be ON THE ICE at 8:55
  • C division will be on the ice at approximately 10:30
  • Trophies will be awarded at the bonspiel. (Prizes will be awarded at EYCC on the 25th based on teams’ standings in the regular season.)

Lunch will be served between your two games on Saturday.

  • Email me if you have any dietary restrictions.

Dates to put in your calendar:

April 1: Registration opens for returning members. That’s us. (Early bird pricing from April 1 to 30.) Returning member deadline is June 30.

May 1: New member registration: If you have friends you’d like to encourage to curl with us, have them fill out a membership request. EYCC will accept new members beginning August 1, in the order in which requests were received.
