Basic Theory

Note : tone, pitch, represent a frequency of sound produced.

Scales : a linear arrangement of specified notes, pitches, tones.

Interval : the distance from one note to another.

Chords : two or more usually three or more notes, pitches, tones sounding simultaneously.

Key Signature : tones or "key" of a song tells us which notes the song will primarily be using.

Rhythm : a regular recurring motion, or movement, accenting strong and weak elements of the pattern can create various sounding rhythm patterns.

Tempo : amount of time between successive beats, the speed or pace of a given piece "how fast or slow" beats per minute.
