Hi, I'm Mona.

I am an Assistant Professor at the Department of Statistics at the London School of Economics. I am broadly interested in problems in high-dimensional statistics, non-parametric statistics, and working on new methodologies for understanding the dependency structure in the data, and its application in causal inference.

Before joining LSE I was an FDS postdoc fellow at the Seminar for Statistics at ETH Zürich, mentored by Prof. Peter Bühlmann. I completed my Ph.D. in Statistics in 2020 at Stanford University, where I was fortunate to be supervised by Prof. Sourav Chatterjee. Prior to Stanford, I did my undergraduate and Master's studies in Mathematics at Sharif University of Technology.
