My brother’s artwork is a true reflection of his hard work, determination, and creativity. Watching him pour countless hours into perfecting his craft has been an inspiration to me. His dedication reminds me that with patience and perseverance, dreams can take shape in beautiful ways. I’m proud to share his page here, not only because of the talent on display, but also because of the spirit of resilience and passion it represents.
My grandmother, Vanilla Ruth Potter White, was much more than a quilter—though quilting was one of the ways she wove together family, history, and art. Born in 1925 in Clay County, Kentucky, she grew up under the quilts of her mother and the memories of her mother’s quilting circle. As she matured, she carried that tradition into her own hands and heart—hand-designing and stitching a monumental quilt (almost 7 × 6 feet) using her mother’s handkerchiefs as appliqué material.
Her quilt is now honored in two meaningful places: at the Appalachian Center at the University of Kentucky in Lexington, and at the Laurel County African American Heritage Center in London, KY. Each venue anchors her artistry in place—one within the academic and Appalachian arts sphere, the other within the story of African-American heritage in eastern Kentucky.
I’m proud that her legacy lives on—not just in our family memories, but in these public spaces where her quilt continues to speak.

Vision Elite Athletics is more than just a sports organization—it’s our family’s passion and purpose. Built by my husband and supported by our family, Vision Elite is dedicated to helping young athletes grow on and off the court. Through basketball programs, leagues, and events, we provide opportunities for players to develop their skills, build character, and pursue their dreams.
What inspires me most is the heart behind the work: the long hours, the determination, and the belief that sports can change lives. Vision Elite Athletics is not just a business—it’s a reflection of our family values: faith, hard work, community, and the drive to make a difference.
