You can eat for free on your birthday! You can get free offers for your anniversary! You can get free offers throughout the year! I know right?!? It sounds too good to be true, but it is!
My mom and I started this birthday tradition over a decade ago based on our local area. Together we signed up for as many offers as we could including local restaurants and national retailers. We could not believe all the freebies we received for our birthdays.
I can't wait to share with you the birthday, anniversary, and year-round offers that include free meals! Of course, some offers require you to purchase something, but the overall savings and value are not like any other offers you normally receive. These birthday freebies made celebrating birthdays even more exciting!
Keeping Up With All The Offers
As time grew on I learned that things change. The offers do not always stay the same. I also moved so I discovered new restaurants and stores. This is why I created a Google Spreadsheet and Google Doc for all the offers I found in order to keep up with everything and to be able to easily modify the deals as they change.
Now, mind you once you start getting emails with all the offers you will need to have a system to keep up with them all. Here are my following suggestions:
1) Yahoo! Email: Create and use a free Yahoo! email account to register for all your birthday, anniversary, and year-round offers. You can create a rule and have any email that contains the word "birthday" or "free" to go to a separate folder titled "birthday freebies" for example. You are not able to create a rule for emails or folders in Gmail. You can then easily access the offers from your Yahoo! email account when it is time for them to be redeemed as long as you have working internet access or wi-fi.
2) Screenshots: I recommend doing this ahead of time after receiving offers. From your smartphone take a screenshot of the birthday offers and then organize those screenshots in a folder titled "birthday freebies" for example. By doing this you can check to see all the offers available and easily access them when it is time to use them. For most offers, you simply need to show the store the offer, coupon code, or QR code to redeem. You can then delete the screenshot after using it to see what you have left to redeem. This especially comes in handy in case you don't have internet access at the time you need to redeem your offer.
3) Print: If you have a printer with plenty of ink and paper then print out the offers! This way you can physically see them and then recycle the offer after it is used. Just know that some offers may require you to print them out to redeem. Make sure to read the fine print for details on if the offer has to be printed or not.
4) Cleaning Your Email: In order to keep up with the amount of emails you receive you will want to delete anything you don't need in order to keep your inbox clear especially around your birthday and anniversary date. You can of course go through your email like normal and delete those you don't want or need. If you have too many emails and it becomes overwhelming you can use email cleaning services like Clean Email. I actually purchased a yearly plan because it saved so much time to clean my email accounts it made it worth every penny!
