Who can join the MOMS Club®?
MOMS Club® membership is open to all moms who stay at home at least part time to raise their children. Many of our members have babies, toddlers, preschoolers, and grade school age kids. What are the geographical boundaries of the MOMS Club® of Lewis Center South & Westerville, Ohio?
We serve the southern area of Lewis Center and Westerville. If you live in the following area you have found the right chapter:
- North of Park Road/Shrock Road
- South of Orange Road/Freeman Raod
- East of Route 23
- West of Sunbury Road
If I join MOMS Club®, what is my role?
You can participate as much as you chose. Some members may attend several activities every week, where others may choose to only attend an event once or twice a year. The beauty of MOMS Club® is that you can participate as much as you want to get the most out of the club for you and your child(ren).
Do my children have to be a particular age for me to join MOMS Club®?
No. We welcome moms with children of all ages.
Does it cost me money to join MOMS Club®?
We have annual dues of $25. The dues covers printing costs, postage, dues to the International MOMS Club® organization, donations to community organizations, a small portion of our annual banquet, and more.
How do you do communication?
Every month the MOMS Club® of Lewis Center South & Westerville, OH publishes a newsletter and calendar for its members. It contains a message from our club President, as well as other chapter information and reminders. The calendar contains all the activities for the month. The newsletter is e-mailed prior to the beginning of the upcoming month. The calendar and event RSVP is then managed through a secret Facebook group.
What is the purpose of the monthly Member Social?
All business of the group is conducted at these meetings. For example, we discuss and vote on service projects, fundraising activities, and any other business that affects the club.
What is MOMS Night Out?
Moms need a night out now and then, so we work to coordinate a monthly outing. This is done during the week and it is generally at a restaurant or at another member's home. This is a great way to relax and get to know the other members a little better.
What is Helping Hands?
Helping Hands is a way for MOMS Club® members to help other members when they have new babies, illnesses in the family, or whenever they feel they need help. Most often it involves bringing a meal to the home of the member who needs assistance.
Is the club involved in any community service projects?
One of the goals of the MOMS Club® is to perform at least one charitable, humanitarian or social welfare project related to children each quarter. In the past few years, the Lewis Center chapter has raised and donated thousands of dollars worth of monetary and material items to local charities.
