This Privacy Policy describes how MomentTap ("the app," "we," "us," or "our") handles information when you use our mobile application. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our data practices.
MomentTap does not require an account. You can use the app without signing up or signing in.
Your data stays on your device. Photos, parking spots, scores, tallies, and other entries you create are stored locally on your phone. We do not upload, store, or have access to this content.
We use Firebase Analytics to understand how the app is used and improve it over time. This is the only third-party service in the app.
We do not sell your data. Ever.
MomentTap does not collect, transmit, or store the following on any server:
Your photos or images
Your saved parking spots, scores, tallies, logs, or other content created in the app
Your name, email address, phone number, or any account information (the app has no accounts)
The contents of any history or saved entries
All of the information you enter or capture in MomentTap remains on your device. If you delete the app, this information is deleted with it.
MomentTap uses Google Firebase Analytics to collect anonymous usage data that helps us understand how the app is used and improve it. This may include:
Device type, operating system version, and language
App version and crash reports
Anonymous events such as which screens are opened or which tools are used (e.g., "tip calculator opened," "parking spot saved")
General region or country (derived from IP address, not precise location)
A randomly generated analytics identifier (not tied to your name or any personal information)
This data is collected by Google and is governed by Google's Privacy Policy and Firebase's Privacy and Security Information.
We do not use Firebase Analytics to track you across other apps or websites.
MomentTap asks for certain device permissions to provide its features. These permissions are used only for the purposes described below, and the data they access stays on your device.
Why: To let you attach photos to your entries (for example, a photo of your parking spot, the bowling lane scoreboard, or a moment you want to remember).
What happens to the photo: It is saved to your device only. It is never uploaded to us or to any third party.
You can revoke this permission at any time in your device's system settings.
Why: Used by the parking spot saver to record where you parked, so you can find your car later.
When it's used: Only when you actively choose to save a parking spot. The app does not track your location in the background.

All content you create in MomentTap is stored locally on your device using your phone's standard app storage. We do not operate any servers that store your data.
If you back up your phone (for example, through Google Drive backup or a device-to-device transfer), your MomentTap data may be included in that backup. That backup is governed by your phone manufacturer's and Google's terms, not ours.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
The only data sharing that occurs is the anonymous analytics described above, which is processed by Google as part of the Firebase Analytics service.
MomentTap is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Because the app does not require accounts and stores data only on the device, no personal information leaves the device regardless of who is using it.
Revoke permissions: You can turn off camera, photos, or location access at any time in your phone's settings.
Delete your data: Uninstalling the app removes all data stored on your device by MomentTap.
Because your data is stored on your device and not transmitted to us, the security of that data depends on your device's own security (such as your screen lock, encryption, and operating system updates). We recommend keeping your device updated and protected with a passcode or biometric lock.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated in the app or through the Play Store listing.
