I'm Mohit Kumar Singh, a Lecturer in Transport and Logistics at the University of Greenwich, working at the intersection of computer science and transport engineering. My research uses computational modelling, machine learning and natural language processing to understand how people, vehicles and infrastructure interact, from simulating heterogeneous, non-lane-based traffic to evaluating the safety and mobility impacts of connected and autonomous vehicles, and applying AI to safety investigation reports in healthcare.

I hold a PhD in Transportation Engineering from IIT Delhi and have contributed to major research programmes including the EU Horizon 2020 project LEVITATE, National Highways' CAVIAR project, and the NIHR-funded I-SIRch project at Loughborough University. My work has appeared in journals such as IEEE Transactions on Intelligent Transportation Systems and Accident Analysis & Prevention.

I teach transport, logistics and data analytics with an emphasis on computational thinking and Python, and I'm a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. Beyond Greenwich, I serve on the editorial boards of Urban Planning and Scientific Reports, co-chair the Transport Subgroup of the Noise Network+, and sit on the scientific committee for Traffic and Granular Flow 2026.
