Dr. Mohan Bansal (Senior Member, IEEE) is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at the Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Sonepat, Haryana, India. He received his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from IIT Kanpur in 2020, where his doctoral research focused on advanced parametric signal modeling, particularly the multicomponent amplitude–frequency modulation (AFM) signal model. He holds an M.Tech degree from NIT Kurukshetra and a B.E. degree from RGPV Bhopal.
With over eight years of academic experience, Dr. Bansal has previously served as a faculty member at VIT-AP University, ITM University Gwalior, and SRGI Jhansi. His teaching and research interests include speech and biomedical signal processing, machine learning, deep learning, and computer vision. He has authored several research papers, book chapters, and patents in reputed international journals and conferences, including a granted patent titled “Modulated Signal-Based Model for Speech Classification.”
Dr. Bansal has actively contributed to the research community as a guest editor, session chair, and keynote speaker at various IEEE conferences. He has received multiple recognitions, including Best Poster Presentation, Best Faculty, and Research Excellence Awards. His current research focuses on AI-driven solutions for smart healthcare and real-world non-stationary signal analysis.
