Dr. Mohan Bansal (Senior Member, IEEE) is an Assistant Professor at the Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Sonepat, Haryana, India. He received his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from IIT Kanpur in 2020, an MTech from NIT Kurukshetra in 2011, and a B.E. from RGPV Bhopal in 2008. His doctoral research focused on speech signal processing using the Multicomponent AFM signal model.

With over seven and half years of academic experience, he has previously worked at VIT-AP University Amaravati, ITM University Gwalior and SRGI Jhansi. His research interests include speech signal processing, biomedical signal processing, machine learning, deep learning, and computer vision. He has published multiple patents and research papers in reputed journals and conferences.

Dr. Bansal has been a Guest Editor for a special issue on Deep Learning in Audio and Speech Processing Science publishing group. He has also served as TPC member, session chair, keynote speakers in various IEEE conferences. He was honored with the Best Faculty Award and Research Award (2022-23) at VIT-AP. He actively contributes to organize FDPs, workshop, hackathon, industrial and foreign talk

A dedicated researcher and educator, Dr. Bansal continues to advance AI-driven solutions in speech and biomedical signal processing for real-world applications.
