Mohammad Reza Ghavidel Aghdam earned his BSc in Electrical Engineering from Urmia University in 2014, followed by an MSc in Communication Engineering and a PhD in Telecommunication Engineering from the University of Tabriz, Tabriz, Iran, in 2016 and 2020, respectively.
Dr. Ghavidel Aghdam began his academic career as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the Department of Electrical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Ilkhichi Branch, Islamic Azad University, Ilkhichi, Iran, in 2017. In October 2022, he joined Özyeğin University in Istanbul, Turkey. At Özyeğin University, he served as a postdoctoral research fellow at the Communication Theory and Technologies (CT&T) Research Group.
His research interests are primarily in the following areas:
Signal processing techniques in wireless communications
Massive multiple-input and multiple-output (mMIMO)
Millimeter wave (mmWave)
Orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) and generalized frequency division multiplexing (GFDM)
Non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA)
Intelligent reflecting surfaces (IRSs) / Reconfigurable intelligent surfaces (RISs)
