About me:
Mohammad Jafari was born in Tehran, Iran. He received his Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering in 2018 and his (second) M.S. degree in Computer Science and Engineering in 2015 while working at the Intelligent Autonomous Systems Lab; both from the University of Nevada, Reno. He received his (first) M.S. degree in Mechatronics Engineering in 2012, and his B.S. degree in Computer Hardware Engineering in 2007, both from Iran. From 2018 to 2021, he worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Department of Applied Mathematics at the University of California, Santa Cruz. He started working at Columbus State University in August 2021, where he currently holds an Associate Professor position in Robotics Engineering. His research interests are Real-time Learning-based Control, Machine Learning, Multi-Agent Systems, Control & Systems Theory, Robotics.
Research Interests:
Design and experimental validation of real-time learning-based control techniques for the complex dynamical systems (e.g., multi-agent systems, microgrids, biological systems, etc.)
Practical and cost-effective approaches in control based on biologically-inspired, artificial intelligence, and machine learning techniques
Brain Emotional Learning Based Intelligent Controller (BELBIC)
Flocking and Formation control of multi-agent systems
