I am working as a Senior Research Engineer at Sony Research.
I graduated from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, India with a PhD where I was advised by Aditya Gopalan.
My research interests are broadly multiarmed bandits and control, recommendation systems and reinforcement learning, large language models and machine translation.
Previously, I worked as a Research Assistant at Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information and Communication Technology (DA-IICT), Gandhinagar in the Dept. of Electronics and Information Technology, Govt. of India sponsored project "Development of Text-To-Speech Synthesis Systems for Indian languages - Phase - II". We aimed at developing Hidden Markov Model based speech synthesis (HTS) for Gujarati language.
Before this, I worked shortly as a Research Engineer in Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) in a Hyderabad based start-up. I completed my Masters' at DA-IICT Gandhinagar in 2013 and Bachelor of Technology (B. Tech.) at Institute of Technical Education and Research Bhubaneswar.
