NNR Project

The sales director of NNR asked for a dashboard in order to be able to track the sales performance with the following criteria: 

1. Revenues by each market.

2. Quantity sold per market.

3. Top 5 customers in terms of revenue generated.

4. Top 5 products in terms of revenue generated.

5. Profit margin by each market.

6. Type of customers they are dealing with.

The sales director also asked that the dashboard got automatically updated whenever new data got added to each market file. Hence, I had to access these files in order to add a data validation schema to minimize possible entry mistakes and to make sure that the data that will be added is consistent. 

Also, the sales director asked a bunch of questions to be aware of before starting to develop the dashboard these are listed below (data exploration phase)

Success Criteria

1. The dashboard with the specified criteria.

2. Ensures that all markets are using the same data entry process and documentation for all activities in order to maintain the consistency of the data across all markets to reduce time spent in cleaning data.

3. Establish data validation across all the sheets and documents that are in use in each market to minimize the errors that could occur.

4. Provide training for an employee in each market in order to be responsible for the processes we implement and review them biweekly.

Data Cleaning Phase

The data I received contained missing values as well as incorrect values for sales amounts and markets they operate in, so in order to figure out such missing values I had to refer to each sales manager in these markets, then we decided that we would ignore the sales happened in any market outside India, and they approved that with the incorrect values of sales amounts, they decided to replace these values with at least 1 rupee, also the sales made in USD had to be converted to INR with the exchange rate at each date.
