Mohamed A. Abd-Elmagid received the B.Sc. degree in electronics and electrical communications engineering from Cairo University in 2014, the M.S. degree in wireless communications from Nile University in 2017, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from Virginia Tech in 2023. He worked as an Exchange Research Assistant at Sabanci University, Turkey, from Oct. 2016 to Feb. 2017. Prior to that, he was a Research Assistant at Nile University, Egypt, from Sep. 2014 to Sep. 2016. His research interests include Age of Information (AoI), Energy Harvesting, Cyber-physical Internet of Things  (IoT) Systems, Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), Optimization, Queueing Theory, Machine Learning, and Stochastic Geometry. He is the recipient of the WiOpt 2021 best student paper award.
