Fourth Midwest OpenFOAM User Group Meeting
October 4 - 5, 2019 Minneapolis, Minnesota
The Midwest OpenFOAM User Group (MOFUG) is pleased to announce that the 2019 MOFUG Meeting will be hosted in Minneapolis, Minnesota at the Minnesota Supercomputer Institute and the Digital Technology Center.
The event format will be a one-day, two-track meeting:
- One track is a full-day mini-conference with brief, 20-minute presentations focusing on the use of OpenFOAM for a variety of applications. If you are interested in making a presentation, please indicate so on the meeting registration form below.
- The other track is entry-level OpenFOAM training on a variety of topics led by members of the Midwest OpenFOAM User Group.

Fourth Midwest OpenFOAM User Group Meeting
The provisional timetable for the mini-conference is:
Following the Technical Presentations, there will be a brief organizational meeting for the Midwest OpenFOAM Users' Group that will include electing a new board of officers. If you are interested in becoming more involved in the group, please do plan to participate in this meeting.
We are expecting technical presentations on a wide variety of applications.
During the training, we will be using the OpenFOAM for Windows version distributed by CFD support. You can download that software here:

Please have the software on your laptop/computer prior to the training.
There are limited spaces available for the mini-conference and the entry-level training. Registration is required, and there is a modest registration fee of $150. Additionally, there will be a voluntary $50 contribution to the OpenFOAM Foundation to support the sustained development of OpenFOAM at the time of payment.

TRAVEL ITINERARIES:
At this time, I know many of you are eager to make travel arrangements for the MOFUG2019. Please plan your travel accordingly:
- Please arrive in Minneapolis, MN by Thursday, October 3rd, 2019. The formal MOFUG will commence the morning of October 4th.
The closest airport is the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP). Please send along your travel itineraries as you make them so I can assure your accommodations while here.
TRANSPORT TO/FROM MSI/SAFL TO MSP Airport:
Super Shuttle: Approximate fare (one-way) is $18.00. Advance reservations are recommended.
Taxi: Approximate fare is $40-45 one way
Light Rail: Take the Blue Line to Target Field and then switch to the Green Line to UMN East Bank Station and walk 0.5 miles to the dorm (address below). One way fare: up to $2.25 depending on time of day.
If you are driving and need parking at the dorm, please make sure you list as such in the linked form above.
