We are here to bring back the magic of matchmaking with our playful and personalized Yenta touch

Our Process:

Open to all sexual orientations, genders, races, ethnicities, religious backgrounds, body types and sizes, and abilities, we make matches based on how people answer the questions on our form, the general vibes we’re picking up, and our yenta intuition! We’ve got a small but growing list of Chicagoland folks in our matchmaking pool. Most people in the pool are connected to us in some way (although we can’t personally vouch for everyone).

When a match feels right to us, we lock it in and send out a love letter— an email—letting both parties know they’ve been matched! Then, it’s up to you to schedule your date! We’ll follow up shortly after to ask you how it went and get some feedback.

We want to make matchmaking accessible, low-stakes, and fun (which is why we do it for free!)

So wait... How does this work??

Can I sign up if I’m not Jewish?

Yes, please do! The Modern Yentas lovingly draws inspiration from Jewish tradition, but our matchmaking is for people of all religious and spiritual backgrounds.

Once I sign up, how long will it take for you to set me up on a date?

Matchmaking is our (unpaid) side hustle, so things might move at a leisurely pace. But once you’re in the pool, we won’t forget about you! We’ll keep you on our radar for potential matches 🙂

What if I don’t vibe with the person you set me up with?

That’s okay! We will send you a feedback form after your date, and you can let us know it’s not a match. If you indicate on the feedback form that you’d like to be set up with someone else, we’ll keep you in our matchmaking pool.

What if I signed up, but I’m now in a relationship or no longer interested in being set up?

Shoot us an email at themodernyentas@gmail.com, and we’ll take you out of the “active” pool. If your relationship status changes, hit us up, and we’ll put you back in the pool.

How much do you charge?

We want to make this process accessible, so we do it for free.

What if I know someone else looking for love?

Please, please, please spread the word about The Modern Yentas! Tell your friends, exes, coworkers, family, neighbors. The more folks in our pool, the better our matches will be!
